JOHN LEGEND HAS SOMETHING TO SAY ON MONDAY JULY 21st
I received an email from a friend & neighbor regarding a cool music series, check out: http://www.brooklynconcerts.com/mlk.html
JOHN LEGEND HAS SOMETHING TO SAY ON JULY 21st 2008
The 26th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series performances are held Monday nights 7:30 pm at Wingate Field entrances on Brooklyn Avenue (Rutland Roa an Winthrop Street.)
John Legend is a five-time Grammy-winner and multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and performer whose albums -- "Get Lifted" and "Once Again" -- and singles -- including "Ordinary People," "Used To Love U," "Save Room," and "Heaven" -- have secured his place as one of the most striking, vital and important American musical artists to emerge in the 21st century.
Legend -- who'd made his name primarily as an in-demand all-star studio session writer and musician whose credits included work with Lauryn Hill, Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys, Common and Kanye West among others -- stepped into the solo spotlight in 2004 as the first artist signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music production company and was signed to Columbia Records in May of that year.
BED STUY FARMERS MARKET

GRAND OPENING FARMERS MARKET starting this Friday July 18th, 12-6 pm on Malcolm X Blvd between Marion & Chauncey Street. You will be able to buy veggies and fruits...for now - but, in the next week or so we will have fish vendors and bakers and hopefully fresh flowers will follow (that would be great!). This is our chance to enhance our quality of life in the food area for Stuyvesant Heights. Lets support our new farmers market...other communities do it all the time!!! Why go all the way to Park Slope, Court Street or Union Square when we have a market right here.
Everyone should buy at least 1 or 2 items every Friday, I will.
For more information, contact 718-363-3085.
